Mirage in Vegas

Post by JohnGypsy »

Here's one I captured earlier this year at the Mirage in Vegas. Note that all of the "action" is in the first half -- for those that only want "action", you can stop listening as soon as you hear the sink water turned on at around the 3:45 mark. The rest I just left because I know that some of you enjoy the after-action chatting. :) It actually tells quite a bit about them... She talks about her recent bridal shower, asks him for some boxers to sleep in (he suggests sleeping naked, but still gives a pair to her), and tells him that it looks like she got $500 as gifts for the wedding!

Hope you enjoy it!

I thought was happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!? Sounds like more fun than the casinos. Were you hiding under the bed? How did you get such clear audio?

It is from outside the door in the hallway. I actually had bad luck with this most of my time there -- I was there for a while in a situation where I could basically sleep until noon every day -- so plenty of time for late-night hall wandering. In the end, I only got a couple of recordings.

But, yes, as you can tell, when I did get one, the gap under the door made it pretty easy to get a good recording. This one was done with just a cheap USB recorder (see the thread in the Hardware forum for more details).

Our hubby doesn't seem too fit, just short staccato bursts from about 1.00min to 3.00min; not very consummate at consummating the marriage. :(

hehe. Well, trying to slow down a bit doesn't always mean that you aren't "fit" -- sometimes people just can't think about baseball! :)

That being said, I don't think this was their wedding night itself. I think it was still coming up. I got the impression that they had just had that bridal party for her since he was just getting the details.

On a side note, I did a recording recently (that I will put up later) where, while I was recording, newlyweds showed up for the room across the hall -- she was in a full wedding dress and he was in his full military uniform -- and their card wouldn't work in the door! She actually ran back downstairs to get it corrected! Anyhow, you can hear them trying to get into their room and such while the couple across the hall that I was recording are going at it! :) (Unfortunately, I didn't get to record the wedding couple -- the military guy seemed very tired and it was like 1am. My guess is that they had had a very long day!)

Thanks -- it was made with the US$12 USB recorder that you said you wouldn't use because of the "presumable low quality" and then proceeded to recommend a site for "quality" equipment which happens to sell the exact same recorder for US$149 (i.e. more than 12 times the cost for the exact same thing). :o
