As I said in the Hardware section, I've had VERY good results with many of these cheap (<US$15) USB-stick-style recorders. Plus they can go for like 12-15 hours on one charge!

You should add that they're extremely inconspicuous. And if you should lose one (as I have), it can't be traced back to you and it's not a great financial loss.

Indeed! If anyone ever saw you picking one up in a hallway, for example, and asked what you were doing, you could just say that you dropped your flash drive and were picking it up. They could check it out and would agree that is what it was - and wouldn't be likely to imply that it was a recording device. Heck, even if they put it in a PC and took a look at the files, it wouldn't be obvious. Especially if you keep some extra garbage on there.
