Elusive Corner Couple

So this one is interesting. I decided to take the long way around my complex a few nights back just to see if I'd hear anything. I'd always known there was a young couple in this upstairs corner unit because I'd heard them talking before, but never heard them in the act. So I figured they were probably quiet about it, as their window was always open and I never heard anything. Not tonight. Turns out she's quite vocal. So here's the setup:

They're a corner unit upstairs. I heard them loud and clear despite the fan on their window. The unit across from them and downstairs is vacant, so I set up my phone on their patio fence to record. However, the next door neighbor had their door open (it's been hot) and they were yelling at the TV a bunch, so that's kind of distracting, and actually kind of funny.

It's unfortunate that with the fan and the distance, the recording didn't come out so clear (I can't even hear when I heard her say, "Ow! Hair!." Still, I think there are some enjoyable bits.

in my earlier days, I also used this tactic - strolling on friday and staturday evening throught Apartment complex. Unfortunately, at that time I didn't use recorders, it was about 1999. I tried to enter the duplex houses which were surprsingly often open, usually because of defunct doors. Then I would walk the staircases and try to hear something....was sucessful sometimes. Once, I heard a couple of a ground floor have sex, their window was open...that was really hot. I could hear the shuffling of the bed sheets and everything. Well, i stopped this night crawling after I had almost been caught one time. I was in a Duplex on the staircases and someone opened the door, which I passed only seconds before, I was in fact only halfway down the staircases to the next floor. He must have seen me and the turned on the lights. I proceeded to walk down the stairs calmly as if i was someone from the house. He could only see my back and probaly suspected something. It was a thrilling experience. If I had used a Recorder at that time, you would have got 3 more recordings from this adventures.

I like reading about the more unsuccessful experiences too. You was very brave to enter a housing complex like that! I have had some near misses and other fuck-ups too. We should make a topic with those stories in it..
