couple in room 25

This was one of those times when it all seemed to come together perfectly, an audio voyeurs perfect storm.

To wit, I was staying at a semi regular motel in Virginia that I frequent on business, as I am a truck driver and was between trucks until the next morning, the motel is older but very clean and well priced, and some of the rooms are connected, some are not.

I was in room 24, but at the time I was talking sports with the desk guy when a minivan pulled up, and a fella got out and asked for 2 adjoining rooms, desk guy told him he had 2 side by side but that they were not adjoining, but the fella took them anyways. Rooms 25 and 26.

He was driving a minivan with Tennessee plates, and was travelling with his wife, child of about 5 years or so, and either his or wifes mother. The couple took room 25 next to me, and the Grandma and kid took room 26, I saw them all going in, and I was hoping to get lucky, so I was as quiet as possible and waited, and after about an hour or so waiting, I heard the TV shut off which I figured meant bedtime, and I was hoping they would fuck,and a few minutes later I hit the jackpot!!

I have a Droid tablet that was just barely able to squeeze under the door adjoining rooms 24 and 25, I slid it as close as I dared hoping the goddamm thing didn't light up or something, and sat as quietly as possible listening to the fun in the next room, they couldn't have been no more than 5 ft from where I was recording, but even then with a wall between us and the tablet having to be on the floor recording I wasn't so sure how it would turn out, but after playing it back I was quite pleased. (unfortunately, there a few places where I coughed, I have a cold and you can here that, too, but I was as quiet as possible while recording.

I thought they were done after a few minutes, but then it started up again, maybe they stopped to switch positions or maybe so it didn't end too quickly, or whatever, I have no way of knowing, but so this is a 2 parter, I know they finished after part 2 because he went back out to the car to get something a few minutes later.

Anyways, that's how I got this and the background on it, I hope it is good enough for everybody to enjoy.

Dang bro, great story! Now I am really wanting to hear the tape!!! BTW, good point on the droid lighting up or something. Two ideas. One is if yours has a jack for an external mic, make a snake mic. I can point you to a great element for about $10 and another $10 worth of pieces and you will have a really high end mic on a long cable with the last 4' or so stiff so you can snake it or bend it.

The other idea is much lower tech but you can tape back paper over the screen and plug headphones in to mute the thing so if it lights up you can not see it and if it rings or bongs or whatever noises it makes it won't make them. I know mine makes noises for everything. incoming mail, new network in range etc etc. It also flashes a lot for shit. Not the most discrete device in the world.

Also a tip if you are after sounds. As soon as you get in your room, unplug anything that makes noise such as the mini firdge and crank up your heat if in the winter or your AC in the summer and when you get to your room to record, turn them off. You can not control your neighbors outside noises but you can control yours....

Guys, I have tried on 4 seperate attempts to upload the file, using both Firefox and Chrome, every single time, without fail, I attach the file, wait several minutes for it to upload, then when I hit submit, BINGO!!!, the goddammed screen goes totally blank as if I never submitted anything at all, the dreaded circle of doom, attempting to connect, so I said to Hell with it and gave up, which really sucks because it is an outstanding file and I really wanted to share with this community that I have enjoyed so much, but I don't know what else to do, I'm tired of trying.

I am going to set up a dummy youtube account and try to upload it there, and if it works I'll post the link in this thread, I'm just tired of wasting my time trying to upload and then having to start from scratch.
