Yes, I did come in at the end, unfortunately, and I stopped the recording when I realised there would be no more action. As you suggest, there's no point taking an unnecessary risk. When they got back later they just stayed up chatting so that was it. Still, I got some better F-on-F sounds soon after - from the room next to mine!
