Rock am Ring

Post by thomas »

Hi there...

is anybody going to the well known German festival "Rock am Ring"?

If yes, this could be a great opportunity to collect some interesting sounds for our "Outdoor" section, because as far as I know a lot of fans go there and stay overnight in a tent...

I have been there three times and at one of these visits, I produced some noises that could have been recorded through thin tent walls ... sex and drugs and rock´n´roll ...
If I tell you the years of my visits you´ll see that I´m way too old to go there again: 1985 (the very first Rock am Ring), 1986 and 1996. But if I went there, I´d go for the fun at night (girls and alcohol), not the recordings ;-)

you are by no means to old... but the rain and the lightning is probably also not the best environment for our type of recordings...

It's equals Hungarian "Sziget" festivals (just at present times. Robbie W. on 0th day.
Tent camps, hippies, many rock, pop, reggae, alternative, etc bands, food, drink, (drugs) and sex.
It is too expensieve for me, but west European friends pays it from rear pockets.
The moans always bring me back to life.
