All files at sexsoundlovers files archives
Is anyone else having problem playing the archive files? I joined last night and none of the files will play on my desktop (windows).

Good thing to post your question in the community too - has anybody got an idea?

Re: All files at sexsoundlovers files archives
OK so I sent this to Yeppie as a PM but I'll share with everyone else, as well. Today for whatever reason I can download the file, then right click it to play via Windows Media Player from my Download folder. However, with the latest version of Windows when you just play it directly it will automatically default to the (absolutely awful) Groove Music. There doesn't seem to be any way to change it, either. Groove will not play the files (you get an error message saying you have to save the playlist to Groove, though there is no way to do that).
I think that the problem lies in the authentication. When you go to play any file in Windows Media Player, it asks you again for your username and password. Groove doesn't seem capable of launching that authentication, so the website won't allow access. If anyone has a way around this, or knows what I'm doing wrong, I'm all ears because saving each file then launching it results in me having to clean up a bunch of files at the end of the night since I'm on a shared computer. Thanks.

I'll admit I know nothing about Windows but have you tried VLC? It's a pretty universal media player. Maybe it'll do the trick.

I am sure there is a way to change the application that opens with different file extensions. I am still using an older version as I can not stand the look and feel of the newer versions, but there is no way they hardcoded the file associations. Often times as previously suggested when you install another app that can play audio files it will offer to update the associations for you, or give you a list of extensions that you want that program to open.

Believe me I tried. I've changed the default in settings in windows but no matter what it defaults to Groove. There's another thread now where user Kilmer is having similar problems so it's not just me. I also don't believe they hard coded the files but it wouldn't shock me if Edge (the new version of Explorer) uses Groove no matter how you feel about it. Microsoft does suck like that.

That might be another solution: don´t use Edge but Firefox or Chrome ... I do and that may be the reason that I didn´t come across Groove before although I enjoy Windows 10 most of the time.Sam Sketchy wrote:Believe me I tried. Did the archives ever used to be in mp3 format? Now they are in m3u and I can't play them on android. If anyone know how I'm all ears.

Re: All files at sexsoundlovers files archives
Sam, the files are still (mostly) in mp3 format. m3u is a playlist format that your device tries to open.
