Not as active, but some decent hits - mic was yet again on the unlucky end of the corridor - but can still hear pretty well if you crank the volume.

A - Lots of Slapping if you like that. mic in closer proximity

B - Down corridor so you have to turn up the volume a bit.

Crossing my fingers - staying one extra night even on a worknight - ScreenActor Guild Awards are in town tonight. When I was ready to pack up, two young couples arrived on both sides of my room! So risking a 3rd night and keeping my fingers crossed.

Well Sunday was a bust of sorts. There were two events and I was able to listen live but ended up walking away from both. The first the girl had a nice sounding voice, but everything seemed kind of aggressive and unnatural. Sure enough, some breaks came up and the conversation bits that came through revealed they were shooting a porno in the room. The second I thought I had lucked out. I heard the couple - they had apparently reached the floor in the elevator car before mine. So I tried to hurry to see what they looked like, but only caught the door closing. She was incredibly drunk and it made her all the more aggressive. Long and the short of it was they just sounded too animalistic for me. Loud, yes, but she might as well have been constipated as having sex. Zero tenderness; Total turnoff.
Also, none of the couples on my sides returned even as of 5AM - I think I mistook them for arrivals when they were probably just late departures.
Also, one of my microphones got ripped off - how I have no idea - dark gray behind a bulkhead door opened at a closed angle. So maybe someone nudged the door shut and found it when propping open again? Discovery was 3AM and I had to wake a 5AM anyway to come into work. That and fearing a general pogrom I removed the other mics at that point, but the other two hidden the same way were still in place. I think if it had been security they would have easily found the other ones so leads me to think was an accidental finding..
I'm glad I took the extra night; would have been wondering otherwise, but was afraid that with a work night most couples wouldn't be normal folks - and with the Hollywood factor would be geared more towards professional stuff and sadly turned out to be the case. Two weeks from now though is Valentines weekend!
