hi, i tried to update the forum this afternoon which took me 2 hours to change the code. everything seemed to work fine but when i opened the site, both the index page and the admin log-in showed nothing but a white screen. i worked on fixing that for hours and hours but always ended up with a virgin screen.
finally restoring the old version seems to have done it.
if you still have any problems accessing the site, please let me know.
and excuse the downtime, please.

To celebrate the anniversary of the White-Screen-Problem, I did it again yesterday!
Same procedure as every year: Updating (integrating a new mod), things not working, changing some code -> only blank pages left. After hours wasted and finally reinstalling the previous version of all files, the forum is back. But you might have noticed that BBcode isn´t working (that is why you see "[url] ... [/url]" instead of a link.
I will try to fix it next week - I´m leaving now for a hopefully great third wellness weekend.
