Embedded audio player on mobile website

Possibly an admin question... when viewing the site in chrome on an android phone, the embedded player is rendered so small (narrow) that it's not possible to skip to particular times in the files. Sometimes it's possible if you mute the clip - because then the time info doesn't display and the space is used for the progress line. Can that be tweaked, to show a wider player? Ideally scale to fit the window width, as the rest if the thread does?

I checked the template files and tried a quick adjustment which probably had no effect. A second look revealed a pretty elaborate css, tailored to the very different needs of devices and browsers, even on stubborn ios systems. I´m not sure whether changes would be a good idea ... but you may remind me in July when I am back home and with more time and possibilities to check this.
