after you exit the elevator into the hallway where the rooms are always look up on the ceiling and make sure your not being watched by a camera because some cameras can be hidden as well with a covered to make you think it's part of the alarm system or Fire suppression system but the hotels I would avoid is Sheraton and Marriott and real big hotels such as Casino's in Las Vegas I got confronted by security when I was there snooping around one of the floors trying to listen for sex sounds I'm not gonna say which hotel because I'm keeping it ( Anon ) but you gotta be really careful when going into these places because someone could also tip you off to Security thus busting your gig so always check the entrance to the hallway before you hop off the elevator I would do some recon surveillance and seek out where the cameras are and where they are pointing at as I know some will only point towards the elevators and others will point probably near the vending machines but I would'nt go into a hotel blindly without making sure how their Security is and also like with any hotel always check to see if the doors have a gap under cause not a lot have a gap under it so it would be impossible to slide an Iphone under it.

Seriously though, keep safe. Been reading about people getting caught recording stuff around the world. Felt a little bit guilty talking to my wife about why people do it.
