Where are those attachments?

i hate to be the n00b, but can anyone tell me why i cant see these attachments? i can see attachs in other posts just fine, like here:

(except when you follow that link, it says "no permission" on those attachments... ok i dont understand anything anymore)

I cannot reproduce the "no permission" error - could you please go a little bit more into details? I have checked your permissions and everything seems to be fine there.

im aware of that issue thanks i've seen it in all the other threads (you must grow tired answering the same question), but this post is like 4 days old, and there are much older attachments that i can see just fine, i just dont think that makes sense. why would month old files still be there when this brand new attachment is already moved?

and i've seen in other threads, people complaining they cant see any attachments, but i can see those just fine (and i dont have special previligs). so im thinking there is an issue with attachments being invisble for some users sometimes.

(the other thread i linked to, the permission issue... its not really an issue, just weird. when i go to the boards overview, i can go to the thread and see the attachments just fine. but when i post the link here, and click on it, i go to the thread and with all the attachments it says "you dont have permission to see the attached files" in red writing. which is weird cause clearly i do cause i can see the attachs just fine when i dont follow the link)

my point was that four days old hardly require movement to the archive, no?

Now I see what you mean. The solution seems to be pretty easy again - the files aren't in the system anymore so they probably have been deleted. As it wasn't me, it must have been the uploader himself who decided to take them off. I will send him a pm to ask if he did so and why.

There must have been other reasons for these problems, mostly permissions that had to be adjusted.

That is weird indeed. As I said I cannot reproduce that error now but I will check again.

ok, if the files are deleted then i guess theres nothing much to do about that.

as for the other issue, nevermind, it was only when i followed the link, otherwise i see those attachments just fine.
