Last year I went to Dresden and stayed there in a very nice and clean hostel. We were there on a weekend and most of the other people were couples as well. Except for one room everyone is a private room, furnished individually. As it is a very good bargain a lot of young people go there and as I could hear later that night - not only my girlfriend and me were having fun.
This is a very good audio voyeur's place.

Thanks for the good idea - hostels in general could be a great place. Now I need a reason to visit Dresden once more. This would be easy during the week, but weekends might be better.
Which of the two hostels did you stay in?

When I was there last year Lalelu 2 didn't exist yet.
So we stayed in the first one in the underwater room featuring a waterbed
But if I go there again I would try the second one as it consists of double rooms exclusively - the chances for us to hear something exciting might even be better!

I doubt the receptionist would bat an eyelid. She's probably seen it all before. Besides, a single checking in alone could simply be one half of a couple having an affair...

A bit more on-topic [ ] … On the subject of German hostels, here's one in Berlin.

Liked: it is close to the very central place of Berlin called, Alexander Platz. The staff are very helpful..
Disliked: in the middle of the night you can see people having sex on the bunkers which is very irritating when
you are very tired and have to go home early in the morning.
