A very badly needed win

I travel for business in spurts. I just came off of a dry period and now back on the road again. I have to use a well known corporate travel agency and my reservations clearly show the large company I work for. That means I get stuck into the "business areas" of the hotel - the far reaches, corners and hallways. Great for quiet, terrible for action.

This trip is no different but weekends present an opportunity. More riff raff and kids running around all hours of the night but people tend to get rooms in no particular areas.

I had been working a through the wall test of this recording app I downloaded that gives me mic gain control, decibel level cutoff and frequency floor limit. I could hear the TV relatively clear in the room down and diagonal through my headboard. I swear I hear a couple somewhere next to me the last couple of days but they're not active or I'm missing the action.

Frustrated and about to go to bed, I hear younger people talking loudly across the hall from me. I decided to roll the dice and crouch down to listen through the generous gap between the door and the floor. Not much going on except loud talking and a sudden loud TV war down the hall. But my ears perk up as I detect faint breathy sounds from a female. Clearly one of the TVs. I stick around for a minute and in a silent moment of the TVs, I hear a female's soft breathy "yes!". OH, THAT'S NOT A MOVIE, THIS IS THE REAL THING!

Grab my phone and slide it to the edge of the door. You'll hear my jostling around and adjust the mic gain. I apologize because it annoys me when others post recordings with fidgeting, now I'm no better. You may need earbuds and maybe run the audio through an equalizer but this is clearly a tender moment between a couple trying to stay quiet. It was around midnight so I guess that's when the locals and their kids get active so there's plenty of background noise.

This is a badly needed boost for me and my capture dry spell. No, don't ask, I didn't see the couple... make your own visual fantasy. Just enjoy this little clip. I sure did afterward.

I love it. Its interesting how we can tell the sounds coming from a TV verses a real person having sex.
