First Timer
Hello all - this is my first time, so please forgive the short file.
please let me have feedback on the quality and i will try and get the rest up soon.
This is from my graduation night, celebrating with my girl, we hadn't seen eachother for a few months - we had some catching up to do!

Great Post!
LT - Thanks a lot! Great Stuff. Just my opinion... longer is ALWAYS better. For some reason, I've always loved to hear the whole thing - from the very beginning to the after action cigarette.
Thanks again!

I'm not really a gearhead, so I'm sure somebody else will chime in and be more specific if needs be.
Minidisc with the right mic should be good enough for eaves dropping outside doors or through walls, and definitely good enough to capture more same-room stuff like the grad files. If you'd need to hide a recorder to eaves drop where you are then you'll be wanting something smaller and memory based so theres no mechanical noise, but something far cheaper than risking your ipod!!
When it comes to choosing between stereo and mono mics, you'll want mono every time. Dont get me wrong, a same-room recording or a scene with a nice environment in stereo is pleasant to the ear, but it'll make a much bigger dent in your bank account! You won't lose any brownie points around here for submitting mono recordings.

Hi lT and welcome aboard! Thanks much for the files, excellent stuff so far. As Scot said, you do not need stereo gear to record this kind of thing, and unless you are confident of where you are placing your gear to record, don't risk your ipod you can get something cheaper.
Good luck and looking forware to more stuff from you, I am sure others will have more to add about recording.
Regards,
The Audioman

Hey, and welcome to the board! You requested feedback, so, I just want to suggest that you turn the music way down or off before recording. Unfortunately it sort of overpowered your effort. It still was a realistic and 'in my face" recording, which makes it a keeper. Hope you get the rest you mentioned.londonthanguk wrote:please let me have feedback on the quality and i will try and get the rest up soon.
