Downloading and streaming doesn't work

Hey all,
when I returned to the site yesterday after some absence I noticed the following. When trying to stream any audio it takes the usual couple of seconds to start playing it. However, the audio is buffering every 0.5 to 1 seconds for at least 10 seconds or even more. When I try to download a file it always fails. I tested with Firefox and Chrome. Both show similar behaviour, but Chrome seems to do a bit better.
Is anybody experiencing something similar? I'm pretty sure it isn't an issue with my internet connection, because anything else is just working fine.

I have just updated the archives so a lot of down- and uploading on my site and all went smooth. I´m afraid it is your connection to the site that might have been disturbed temporarily.

I've got exactly the same problem. Downloads fail and audio sometimes plays a few seconds and then stops with the odd second or two played after 10 seconds or more as Audiolover has described. This has been happening since the last few months of last year. The only changes i've made are auto updates as far as I know. Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you, greato2. I´d be very much interested to know if anybody else got the same problem recently.
Please add some additional information that might show a pattern like the device you are visiting the site with, your country (Germany and UK so far), your internet connection. Maybe we experience some kind of internet speed discrimination (net neutrality) or there is a server problem that I didn´t recognize yet.

I'm in the UK. Running Windows 10 Home but stuck on update version 1511. Internet speed is no problem. Don't have any problem playing or downloading anything anywhere else just this site. Haven't had any problems for years until sometime towards the end of last year around November. When first visiting clips will play from the beginning for sometimes quite a few minutes but eventually it will stop especially if I jump to further on in a clip. Once that situation starts it will not allow download of files. It's almost like a buffer is filling up and not allowing to go any further. Same for mp3 and mp4a files. Thought it was just something i'd done but if others have a problem then may be something else.

I still don't know why, but somehow it seems to work again. What I noticed though is that when I pinged the site it performed a little bit worse than other sites (average 73 ms - nothing to worry about).

All good with me now. Must have been sorted by an update or something on this site but working ok now.
