Australian wine countryside
Went away to the Australian countryside, wine country.
Stayed at a wine lodge hotel / motel with some colleagues and their significant others at a work event.
Had this beautiful ( i think german nurse from the hospital too) staying few rooms down. Her bf joined her upon her checking in.
So i inserted my usb recorder right front of their room. She sounded german ( Ja this and Ja that.. ) at least but her bf was definately Australian as I spoke to him briefly next morning at the spa.
Am still going through the recording but just posting the raw files here to see if anyone can amplify anything up or see if anything worth salvaging as seems lots of background sound from the spa nearby their room.
Recorder was basically right front of their room.
Ignore first 8 mins in recording 18-52-22 just my wife in the spa getting out of the spa and singing some silly song, to get ready for dinner with some work friends from our hospital.
Rest was usb placed all night long until it died out around 7 am next morning. I didnt have time to go thru it all as i work long hours now at the hospital. But if theres anything, do let me know
P.s ignore the filename date as the usb recorder seems to have a date of its own, i didnt know how to change this automated date naming tool on it.

As cruzsilva asked for editing, it is best to keep the raw files in wav format until it is done. Conversion should happen afterwards, not before editing.

Busy weekend ahead of me, but this style of searching is something I've got a solid method down for. (Generally, this is how I record my neighbors). Plus, ambient audio does something for me, this hobby seems to have brought out a latent ASMR response from me.

Re: Australian wine countryside
Thanks a lot for sharing all these with us. I enjoy raw files, even if it does mean a lot of listening
I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but if it helps at all, here are the raw catches as mp3s with some quick cleaning up done. I removed the first 8 minutes of 18-52-22 and then did the following with them all.
Deleted the higher and lower frequencies.
Used DeNoise default.
Boosted the volume by 10db.
It might make finding anything easier. If anyone finds anything, I'll do a more subtle clean up from the wavs.

Re: Australian wine countryside
Thanks Ashenelm..yeh what a pity indeed as this file wouldve been in the vicinity of 5.30ish am to 6.30 am so probably not much couldve happened there or so as i started the first file at around 5.30 p.m and it wouldve ended at 9.30p.m and second file at 9.30p.m - 1.30 a.m and third file at 1.30a.m - 5.30a.m.
Its a continuos recording recorder in batches of 4 hrs each file.

Re: Australian wine countryside
I will listen to these later but thank you now! From the size of them it sounds like it will be like truly listening through a wall. Sucks the battery died. A pal of mine gave me a mina cam he got cause the battery died in in and I have been meaning to solder a bigger "regular" lithium cell into in and mount it externally. It would go for an hour or so on the little pouch battery built in, I suspect 4X that from a fully charged 18650. Just ma matter of finding something interesting to aim it at...
Re: Australian wine countryside
Sorry, bro. I don't have enough time. The audio is too long. I'll do probably next week, but i hope somebody else with do the job before.
