The surest bet in the world is just about any main hotel in Vegas. Hang out at the bar, casino, or even out at the pool. Watch for frisky couples making their way up to their room. Give it about 10-15 minutes, and boom! Nearly guaranteed success!

Excaliber, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, and Treasure Island have all worked well for me, but I'd bet the Palms, Rio and Hard Rock would be excellent as well.

Wouldn't most of those places be higher-end hotels with cameras on each floor's hallways? Seems like it is a likely place for people to be going at it, but a very unlikely place to be able to record it, right? Unless you happen to have the room next door or something. But watching for couples that then go up would mean having to record them from the hallway which, as I said, seems like it would be difficult without being noticed.

Even dropping a recording device near the door seems really risky there. Makes me think some guard watching the cameras would see it and think someone was doing some terrorist act or something!

Actually the higher-end hotels seem to also have the best insuallation. I was in the Excaliber a few years ago and did they ear-to-wall test and normally you can at least year water runniing from sink/toilet flushing/etc... but in these types of hotels you hear nothing. Was in the Stratosphere a few months ago and while you could hear 'some' sounds... still not very clear from an audio voyeur perspective.

From my experience, your best bet at decent sounds hotel-wise is the 3-star-ish types (motel 6, super 8, holiday inn, etc). Both the room layout and hotel structure/building design seem to lend themself better to being able to hear decent sounds.

Another downside is that there are 2 main companies that own most of the hotels on the strip (MGM / Sands).. and if you get caught/in trouble and end up being kicked out, they will probably ban you from all the hotels in their chain (MGM owns excaliber/treasure island/mgm/etc...sands owns bellagio/paris/etc). Personally I dont think it would be worth the risk...better to stick to the lower-end hotels that have maybe 1-2 check in people monitoring 1 camera than a hotel-casino that has an entire team devoted to monitoring the cameras.

PS.. if you get kicked out of a hotel in Vegas, please dont call me..I have enough trouble with just the wife snoring..ha.

It's true that the higher end hotels have insulated walls, but to me that is always the worst way for recording hotel sex. The best way is from the hallway under the doorway. I've had alot of success this way, but most of it was just listening, no recording. Unfortunately I haven't travelled as much since getting a digital recorder. Occasionally you'll see cameras in the hallway, but I've found this is typically not the case in Vegas. They have the cameras all trained on the tables.

In my experience, the Four Queens hotel in Vegas is probably the best for your audio pleasure. It is an older hotel with not so great insulation, and it is very popular for young honeymooning couples on a budget. I attended a real estate convention there last year and ended up spending most of my time listening to the couple next door. Four days of almost non-stop love making. I was unprepared to record anything unfortunately, but I have very fond memories of that trip

I have had some good listening at Paris Las Vegas. Did not get chance to do any recording.
Noticed an older guy and an youngish girl enter their room. Went past the room a few times - and on third attempt heard the sligtest moan - and then the good sound of fucking and gasping with squeals of moan and gasps from the girl. He was a good stayer as it went on for a good while.

New York, New York in Vegas is the best for our hobby..
