Do people know they’re being listened to?
Do you think people staying in hotels know that someone is probably listening to them and that turns the couple on to go harder and louder?

Me neither . I don't think people are even aware that " We " exist . Thanks to that it is easier to do our job.

Well some couples have sex outside and the risk of getting caught makes it all the more exciting for them. So there are, probably a few who get off on the thought that someone could be listening. But most are probably so in the moment, they haven't thought about it or really care.

Re: Do people know they’re being listened to?
I do think people do. It may depend on the hotel, but most hotels I have been in, sounds FROM the hallway are clear enough that one can only believe the sounds we make REACH the hallway. There are enough rando YouTube caps of people catching sexy sounds in hotel hallways, that I think it is probably understood.
Now what that means is another story:
Performative exhibitionists may put on an extra show. (Not my favorite.)
Happy healthy couples who simply don’t care will just have their fun and let the chips fall where they may. (This is where I fall: I always kind of hope “one of us” is on the other side of the wall, and I will find myself here the next day! Or at the very least my sounds might inspire someone else’s sexy evening.)
Shy people might crank their tv or their music and keep their voices low… but that indicates they know they might be heard and are embarrassed about it. (I love these people!)

I think most simply don’t think about it, other than to try to not be “too loud.” I’m in this group when there are kids around. I think this would be the majority of hotel guests.
Then there are some who don’t care, and just go for it.
Then there are some who want to be heard.

Re: Do people know they’re being listened to?
When listening to hotel sounds, see if you sense a bit of increase in the action as sounds like as ice machines or outside traffic noise ramp up, and if the sex sounds kind of chill a bit if there are voices in the hallway. Sometimes it seems a ransom loud sound like an ice machine dropping it's load of ice, spooks people for a sec, until they figure out what it is. It seems the very start of a session is most influenced. If they have tv or radio on as much as I hate them, they seem much less aware of ambient sounds. I think some people are paranoid about being heard, at least at first.
Now, there is also the very well known thing where one couple will hear another couple going at it and that seems to get them worked up. And there seems to be some odd excitement of screwing in a different place. People may do it once a week at home but put them in a different bed, and it is like they just have to go at it. Not sure if that is because they are away from the kids or parents or it is just human nature. I know when we would be on the road we would fuck harder than usual. I sm not sure if that was just bowing off energy from a day of driving or if it was showing off or trying to get a response from a room around us.
