This weekend my wife and I took a trip to West Virginia to enjoy the Autumn colors and do some sight seeing. We spent the day driving around hiking local parks, having a pretty good time with little plans. After a somewhat disappointing dinner (everywhere was booked, so we settled on what may have been the worst Outback Steakhouse in America) we took a couple THC gummies and relaxed in the room a bit. It had been a little while since we'd had an opportunity to let loose (kids at home) so we thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope the neighboring rooms enjoyed us too

This particular batch was pretty weak, I use Delta 8/9 which is legal where I am, we got these at a festival and I wasn't impressed. The normal ones I get are pretty strong from just 1 and make sex incredible. The first time we ever tried them, we hadn't felt anything after about 30 mins, so we each took a second... and damn it hit hard. Time stood still, and sex felt like the first time. I was about to ask about that too. I've never done any drugs in my life. I don't drink, and I don't even know how to smoke and don't want to learn. However, I've always felt that under the right circumstances, I would probably try cannabis. One of the conditions is that it would have to be legal in the place that I'm trying it, and that it would have to have been bought legally. Another, is that because I don't like smoking, it would have to be in edible form, ie a gummy bear. And of course I'd have to be in the right company, with people I can trust and who care about my safety.
So, I guess my question is, is THC candy the same as cannabis candy? My understanding is that THC is the active ingredient in cannabis.
Also, out of curiosity, on which day of the weekend was this recording?

Re candies and gummies — you need to ask! There’s no uniform labeling: you can have cannabis without thc, but it’s largely inactive. It’s legal in more places, but the benefits are more around muscle ache than fun.
Cannabis WITH THC is the good stuff. There are two main “strains” of it, indica and sattiva. Depending on personality, one of the two of these is going to work better, so “hybrid” is the best way to go for beginners until you figure out which one is best for you.
Some people call sattiva “happy pot” and indica “sleepy pot” - but this depends a lot on personality. Someone who is very high strung and anxious will find that indica quiets the monkey brain and lowers inhibitions while sattiva makes th frenetic and paranoid. Someone who is super chill will find that sattiva juices them up and amps up the sex drive, while indica just puts them to sleep.

Delta 8 is usually compared to indica and Delta 9 with Sativa. Definitely start with a lower dose if you're not used to any kind of "influence".
