Access to Archives

Hi Yeppie,

I'm a new member and I really like this site.
I don't have much to share currently. I only heard my first couple doing it on a vacation about 4 months back. It was soo hot.

Searching the Internet is what lead me to this site (which I think is awesome).

I've already downloaded everything available to me on the site and now I want more.

Any chance of me getting access to the archives?

I promise to search out some sounds on my next trip (and share them).

Hi DM32, welcome to the community!

Providing you access to the archives would not be fair towards the active members and it wouldn't be clever to discard our active membership idea. Concerning access to the archives, the rules are pretty clear, but you still have the opportunity to subscribe or to wait until you have some own recordings to share. And in the meantime - to quote Sc0tt-uk -

there are plenty of other ways of being "active". This place is doing well for contributions at the moment, but comunity-wise it's having a bit of a dry spell. Commenting on files, getting the board talking to one another, and making newbies feel welcome are all valuable places to start if you don't have any files to share. Plus, scouting around on Youtube and posting captures here is a great way to contribute if you fancy some detective work.
