Rant - I think Covid Scared Los Angeles out of Sex - Dry Spell Continues..

So second year in a row - New Years Eve.

Last year I went to a low-mid price place on the east side that has 6 jacuzzi suites - I hoped the lower prices of the place would lure younger couples who didn't want to splurge $400-1,000 for a hotel. The only people it lured were a bunch of middle age to older tourists on a budget.. and me.

So this year I went to the west side - older but hip hotel, killer views, bar inside with a NYE event going on. And the hotel and Instagram photos have some very sexy and lurid images of young couples who supposedly go there for naughtiness..

Today.. after

$300+ for hotel and amenties.
Zero sleep,
USBs planted in proximity to what looked like were going to be nice sound areas,
Exploration stints to other floors.
Hours scouring the USBs
and ....

NOTHING

All I can think is putting myself in other's place - maybe being drunk and with an 11AM checkout looming, I wonder if most checked in Saturday, did their deeds that night and just crashed NYE?
That or someone snuck saltpeter into the hotel's water supply...

It's the economy already beginning to bite into people's wallets, and in particular,
men's wallets, when it comes to 'dating'.

Why should a guy in the U.S. take a woman out on a 'date' (or whatever), knowing that women
who use dating apps are keeping entire rosters of men that they can pick and choose from?
He's just gonna be one of many simps on her list.

Why should a guy spend 200+ dollars in a single night on a woman who might be using him to get free drinks
and a dinner, and who he may never see again?

Some women in the U.S. - whether they be young women, or single mothers in their thirties or forties - are even
demanding money up front from men just to go on one date with them(!)

No. From I've learned, the dating game in the U.S. is dead. I think in future we could be getting more
sugar baby/daddy meets, more escort encounters, and some instances of young women getting pumped
and dumped in the more expensive hotels by the 'top tier' guys (i.e. the top 10 per-centers that women
tend to go for in these dating apps), who travel around a lot. Also, young women getting flown in (i.e. their
plane tickets paid for) by these wealthy guys, who always have a never-ending supply of women to choose from.
