Agree, Ed. A good pair of closed, over the ear Sony, Bose, Beyerdynamic or Grado will help incredibly with captures taken from two doors down or at a distance. I have a trusty old pair of Sony MDR's.

What's the timestamp

Wondering that myself. Also what kind of headphones do you use, Wisper?

The timestamp is 07:54 thru 07:58. I use KBEAR Robin In Ear Monitors. However, I also listen directly through a digital analog converter (iFI Zen DAC V2) rather than my computers sound card. It has its own power source so there's no loss of audio from the computer to the device to the headphones. I also use adobe audition to edit these files for my own listening pleasure.

NOTE FOR THIS THREAD: For best results, please use over the ear headphones to listen in privacy. Noise- canceling earbuds do not work (I've tried). These are legal captures of sounds as heard in my apartment with no use of wall mics or other devices that would electronically violate my neighbors privacy, so will be fainter than the norm on this site.



A couple of updates from my wonderful young neighbors. First file is sweet, but second is better - much longer and since I was at work, they were a bit bolder as well. Guess the 13th wasn't a Bad Luck Friday after all :{)

Never gonna happen.

I am recording through a very thick wall. Gotta enjoy them for what they are. Someday I hope to find myself back in San Francisco in an old relaxed hotel with no cameras or security, hard floors and huge door gaps. I SO miss my favorite place there that closed up permanently! And right before the pandemic, they were re-theming the halls to a very dark brown/black. Would have been Heaven for my black USB recorders!
