One of the apartments I recently lived in (Lannion, Brittany) was terribly poorly insulated. I could hear everything my neighbor did, a young student in his twenties, tall, rather handsome.

He lived alone, but on the big weekend of May 8, 2019, he brought a young woman to his house, whose body or face I unfortunately never saw. But it was rare enough to ear female voice to imagine that there was going to be sex between these two. So, I took out my digital recorder, and I stuck it against the wall.

Sadly, looking back, the quality is nowhere near as good as many of the recordings I've heard here, but it's not filmed from the hallway or the front door, it's fine to a wall that I hear, and it's still the house next door.

That is a beautiful set of recordings; the nice thing about "through the wall" like this is while the quality is not great, we really capture the experience of listening to those faint, muffled sounds.
