Recently I was in a high rise hotel bar on the ground floor atrium where you could see the elevators from the rear which had glass as well as you could see all the floors/windows going all the way up and being late at night, I saw a couple get onto the elevator alone and IMMEDIATELY she put her hands around his neck and they started kissing. I was like WHOA someone is about to get lucky so I checked the time and saw what floor the elevator went to and figured I would give them about 15-17 minutes to get to their room and get busy to the point that I could hear something from the hallway.
When I went up at the 17 minute point, I never heard anything although I did hear a shower running in one room so maybe I was too late and missed it. I did a few rounds between two floors to make sure I didn’t pick the wrong floor and either they didn’t do anything (doubtful), they were quiet (possible) or I missed it (probable). I know occasionally you might have a rip the clothes off quickie but usually I figured 17 minutes was plenty of time because I assumed they would get to their room, both use the bathroom, then dress down and by the time I got there they would be maybe 5 minutes into it
So my question is when you see someone headed into a room like that from a bar or even their door, what’s a good timeframe to try to start hearing some sounds?

This should answer your questionmkr wrote: 18 May 2023 18:31 ... and IMMEDIATELY she put her hands around his neck and they started kissing.

They probably have started right when they made made it to there room. Give them max. 2 minutes to undress and get into bed (if they used the bed).

Re: Question about timing for catching sounds?
I'll tell you what I saw as a former hotel night receptionist. Let's say they are a couple in their 20s or 30s.mkr wrote: 18 May 2023 18:31 So my question is when you see someone headed into a room like that from a bar or even their door,

If they already checked in earlier before going out to wherever, then, when they return to the hotel (say,
some time after midnight), it will be something like 10-15 minutes before you hear the first sex sound.
It's a lot more difficult to predict if they just checked in and went straight to their room. It could be anything
up to a few hours before you hear anything. (They could be watching TV for a while, for example.) But if they
were at the hotel bar for a while before going to their room, then, on most occasions, you won't have to wait long.
(I also worked behind the hotel's 24-hour bar at the time, serving drinks and snacks.)

Re: Question about timing for catching sounds?
I'll add this:
Sometimes I would get young couples checking in really late, i.e. well after midnight. Most of the time,
they would be 'walk-in' customers, which means they did not make (or were unable to make) an online
booking. I would always sell them a room if I had one available, because I always liked to fill the hotel
to full capacity. (I'd always refuse groups of young people because that would just be inviting trouble.)
I'll say that 99 per cent of the time, these late walk-in young couples were there to just fuck and would start
immediately. A few would buy drinks at the bar first and take them up to their room. I can only think of one
case where a young walk-in couple never had sex, and I think that was because the guy had some form of
disability, because he once fell off a roof or something, according to what he told me when the couple
were chatting with me at the bar.

That’s good advice on timing! Thanks! Yes I think they probably got after it pretty fast after getting into their room given their elevator antics.

I just wanna stress, though, that I was describing dating couples, who were only staying for 1 night.
