A couple times a year, my wife and I have a tradition of a "24-hour vacation."
There's a big party that we go out to, and we stay overnight in a hotel, even though we are close enough to take a cab home for much less cost.
I'm sure many long-term married couples can relate to really enjoying a night out away from all the concerns and nagging things needing your attention in your home. We check in to the hotel, have some time to ourselves, get dressed up fancy, then we go to a party, come back to the hotel, enjoy the rest of the night and morning there, then go for brunch in the morning. It's a very nice routine, to say the least!

I have three files from this most recent trip, which means that it goes without saying, both the wife and I had a great 24 hours.
