Found a free audio editor I think is an excellent tool. Best parts....it's free and it has a good tutorial. Can be rather overwhelming when you first open it, but after a few hours you should be using like an expert. Let me know what you think...

The program might be useful and I'm going to try it. After I downloaded and installed version 2010 from Majorgeeks,
I saw there's a later version, (2011) at www.free-audio-editor.com - Go there and check the 'Shop' tab, theres a
'Deluxe' version around the corner, for US$ 29.95. Still maybe the free version is all we need?
