Hi all. After getting info from scott and yeppie I have decided to post a list of all my files first.
This is everything I have found around the place. Some I have edited a little - just a bit of eq to get rid of hum or noise. Not many are edited.
I CAN edit anything - but the result will be for my ears - not neccesarily what others like. I don't care about ambient sounds - cars beeping, dog farting in the corner. I am also very picky - I will stuff about with a file for hours until I am happy.
If anyone has a really bad file - audio wise - that they would like me to have a go at - I am happy to give it a go - no promises .
As posted under members I also have an extensive collection of video files. I could possibly rip the sound out of these and post - I have been told that care needs to be taken for possible infringements on copyright and whatever - so no commercial vids would be done.
If anyone wants to let me know about a file they have seen in my list and would like - I will try and make smaller - but reduce the quality as little as possible. I err on the size of big files when I find them - better quality - more to listen to.

In regards to don't wake parents
I have 2 files - completely distinct files. One does seem to be duplicated in the archive the other is a new file.
I have a bit of time later today so I will cut the size down a bit on the files mentioned and get them up as soon as I can.
Thanks for the interest all.

From whence my files came.
Hi yeppie and all
I got most of my files - probably 90%+ from newsgroups. alt.binaries.sounds.erotica is where the majority have come from.
I have got some from other sites - which I would be reluctant to post until I got the go ahead from the webmaster (if at all) as the origin site is part of a pay type of operation.
Some from yahoo groups many years ago. Some - f'ked if I know. Most recent ones 99% - within last 2 years are from newsgroup.
Certainly the files mentioned that people want me to post are all from newsgroup source.
I have tried to post a 6mb file I have edited down from a 24Mb file twice now. Once through firefox and once using IE - it has crapped out on me both times - after appearing to try and do the send - takes a good 5 mins before telling me website unavailable.
Any ideas as to what I can do??
I don't normally send files all that much and have never posted any of these files - so I rate myself as a novice in the file sending - not file "acquiring".
I do have 2 addons in my firefox - Universal Uploader and FIREftp. Neither I have used I just thought they might come in handy one day. Anyone used them and would they assist this current bastard of a problem with not being able to send the files.
I am also thinking it may be server end related - my ISP might not like the file going through. I am on a 512k dsl connection so I got 128k upload - should not be a hassle - SHOULD being the word.
Worst case I can ping them via email if nothing else works.
Any ideas would be very welcome.

Hi jedm
File uploads should be working up to the 8mb quota - at least it usually does.
This forum is written in PHP and the PHP settings do not only have a maximum file size setting but also a timely limitation for processes. Both settings cannot be changed by me -> If uploading takes to long, this may cause a timed out error.
