Have my sights on the H4N by Zoom. Very good reviews..

I read complaints that it's very slow. That's a deal-breaker for me.

Someone wrote:

For what it's designed for - music and podcast production, the boot up probably works. For our hobby, a minute is an eternity; can miss a treasure of amazing sounds in that time period. Will look closer at the Sony UX570. Rated higher than Olympus for recording quality.

I'm recording with the Zoom H6, bro. Trust me, nothing better than this, you can adjust the volume of the mic during the record and get 48000kz 24 bits. Plus, 1 hour is 1 giga. And trust me with a set of battery you get around 8 hours before you have to switch.

I'm sure you're right from everything I have read about it. The start-up time is a deal breaker though. You do this for a living too - and know how much info you can miss in 30 seconds. Question - if you turn on and leave it charging, will it auto-turnoff? If there was a way to leave the f**kr on permanently I'd probably make the switch.

Anyone try the H1 as a happy medium?

The quality is less good as the H4 - H5 and H6 but still good yes.
You can use the Zoom H6 while you're charging it, you can also use it as audio device for your computer.

Great idea. . Maybe you could ask them if they wanna have a bbq and encourage them? Say you have to go meet a friend afterwards too so they think theyre alone. But then u double back? Perhaps get an outside window recording too

Wish I could. Live in a huge apt community south of Orange County with tons of cameras and airtight security; better option is equipment upgrade. They can't nail you for recording in your own apartment..

Just read your request more carefully, so I'll do my best.

Girlfriend: Picture Abigail Breslin, but not as refined or athletic. Not by any means overweight, but doesn't wear a lot of makeup, and has soft features. Short too my guess is around 5ft. I love short girls! Just a nice, blond natural girl with a sweet disposition.

Boyfriend - Picture Mediterranean version of Zac Efron without the edge. Tall - about 6'5". Not overweight but out of tone. Works as a project manager for one of the larger commercial electrical contractors here. Nice guy, laughs a lot.
So they live below me and own a German Shepard.

Can't say I've ever dated a woman who was into wearing makeup. The only times I saw one of them
wear makeup was when she would have to go to functions and events where there would be dignitaries
and VIPs attending. As for my last girlfriend, she would rarely wash her face and brush her teeth in the
